The Public Association " The Expert Council on the Development of the Gas Industry and the Natural Gas Market of Ukraine" was created to promote the innovative development of the oil and gas sector in the issues of extraction, transportation, and sale of natural gas.

To this end, the Council develops recommendations aimed at increasing the efficiency of innovative activities, specifically by:

• Identifying priority areas for research, design, and engineering works that are significant for the innovative development of Ukraine's oil and gas sector and the "green transition" direction;
• Considering professional issues arising from the specifics of the extraction, production, storage, transportation, and sale of natural and renewable gases;
• Conducting expertise and issuing conclusions on drafts of regulatory legal documents;
• Developing and implementing new forms and methods for organizing processes and introducing new technologies for the extraction, production, storage, transportation, and sale of natural and renewable gases in accordance with international standards and global experience;
• Organizing the development of draft legislative acts and regulatory and methodological materials in the field of extraction, production, storage, transportation, and sale of natural and renewable gases;
• Studying and systematizing the experience of developing and applying technologies for the extraction, production, storage, transportation, and sale of natural and renewable gases worldwide.
