About Us



The Committee for Fuel and Energy Sector, Nuclear Policy, and Nuclear Safety under the Supreme Rada of Ukraine is composed of 32 People's Deputies, is a largest Supreme Rada Committee, and is in charge of formation and implementation of the nuclear policy as well as Ukrainian energy laws drafting.

Andriy Petrovych Klyuev (Regiony Ukrayiny faction) is Chairman of the Committee.

Mykola Volodymyrovych Martynenko is The First Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

Powers of the Committee are specified in the Constitution of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine "On Committees of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine."

The Committee prepares and submits to the Supreme Rada of Ukraine draftlaws, other energy sector-related issues – for its consideration; and suggestions and commentaries on national-scale programs, amendments to the list of state-owned objects not subject to privatization – for its approval.

Within its jurisdiction, the Committee is entitled to perform the parliamentary control.
