The Ruhrgas examine closely the consortium

Delegation of representatives form Ruhrgas Company and the Federal Ministry of Economics of Germany visited Kiev last week with the purpose of opinions exchanging concerning creation of the international gas consortium.

Negotiations of the German delegation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of fuel and power of Ukraine were held.

Ukraine invited the German side to the first session of working group on creation of the tripartite consortium that will take place in the beginning of the next year in Kiev. Germany, Russia and Ukraine named the representatives of high rank for this working group already. Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Economics Askel Gerlah and the Chairman of board of the joint-stock company "Ruhrgas" Burkgard Bergman are named from German side.

The Chairman of subcommittee of Supreme Soviet on gas industry matters, a member of Ukrainian National Ruh political group Alexander Gudima suggests to use underground gas storehouses and the petroterminal in Odessa for creation of strategic oil and gas stocks of the EU states.

"For this purpose new government should stop secret work on creation of the Russian - Ukrainian gas consortium and interviews on creation of the consortium", - the deputy said.
