Ukraine ups gas production 1.3% in 2002

Ukraine produced 18.442 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in 2002, 1.3% more than the 18.2 bcm it achieved in 2001.

Production of oil with gas condensate fell 2.2% from 3.699 million tonnes to 3.619 million tonnes, the country's state statistics committee said.

The fuel and energy ministry has said gas production rose 1.6% and production of oil with gas condensate grew 1.6% in 2001 compared with 2000.
