Ukrainian refineries process 2.8% less oil in January-May
In the first five months of this year, refineries in Ukraine processed 8.002 million tonnes of oil, 2.8% less year-on-year, the country's Fuel and Energy Ministry has told Interfax.
Gasoline output dropped 9.2% to almost 1.721 million tonnes over the period, that of diesel fuel 7.5% to 2.22 million tonnes. However, fuel oil production increased 3.6% to 3.08 million tonnes.
Ukraine's oil refineries went through 88 days of suspended production in January-May (129 days in the same period last year).
Oil refining just this May was down 33.3% from April and 22.3% from the May before at 1.312 million tonnes. Refineries were supplied with 1.663 million tonnes of oil this May.
May gasoline production was down 43.3% from April at 261,100 tonnes, that of diesel fuel 38.5% at 365,300 tonnes and of fuel oil 32.1% at 511,200 tonnes.
