Poland consider that creation of the international consortium for realization of the project "Odessa - Brodu - Gdansk" oil pipeline is expedient


The prime minister of Poland Leshek Miller confirmed interest of the country in the completion of the project "Odessa - Brodu" oil pipeline up to the Gdansk (Poland). Miller told about that after negotiations with the prime minister of Ukraine Victor Janukovich in Warsaw.

"I confirmed interest of the Polish government in this project and presented a position of the Polish authorities", - Miller told. He noted, that Poland understand this project first of all as commercial and consider that creation of the international consortium is expedient. "We expect that it will be a commercial project first of all, secondly, the international consortium which will be created which will be engaged in oil pipeline project close-out, thirdly, the basic question is a coordination of oil quantity, its addressees, and also self-repayment of the project ", - the Polish prime minister told.

Janukovich consider, that Ukraine and Poland have made the political decision on completion of an oil pipeline and are going to realize it. "The main thing that we have made the political decision: to move in this direction, - and we shall work very thoroughly. It is the interest of business circles of both countries, and this question will be studied by Eurocommission in the near future", - Janukovich told.

As it was informed, Ukraine and Poland declare the interest in completion and operation of the Eurasian oil transport corridor "Terminal" Uzhnuy" - the oil pipeline "Odessa - Brodu - Gdansk" which could deliver light Caspian oil with transit capacity up to 40 million tons of crude oil per year to Europe.
