Ukrtransnafta oil transportation up 16% in the first quarter
Ukrtransnafta oil transportation increased 16.1% year-on-year to 13.811 million tonnes in the first quarter 2003.
Transportation of oil for domestic needs increased 11% to 5.799 million tonnes, with transportation for export to Europe up 20.1% to 8.012 million tonnes.
Consequently, transit accounted for 58% of total volume.
The company's affiliate Druzhba Trunk Pipelines increased oil transportation 26% in the first three months of the year to amount to 5.33 million tonnes. Transportation for domestic needs increased 50% to 780,100 tonnes, with exports up 23.1% to 548,500 tonnes.
Another subsidiary - Petrodneprovsky Trunk Pipelines - increased oil transportation 10.6% to 482,300 tonnes. The company increased transportation for domestic needs 7% to 5.019 million tonnes, with transportation for export up 16.4% to 3.46 million tonnes.
Ukrtransnafta increased oil transportation 25.5% to 48.013 million tonnes in 2002.
